My close friends began starting their families in 2005, and the baby shower invites kept rolling in. I racked my brain for creative and unique ideas for gifts, but came up empty-handed. Finally, one shower that I went to had an adorable centerpiece that I had to take a closer look at - a Diaper Cake! It was a cake made out of diapers and tied in ribbon, very simple, practical and 100% usable.

I decided to embark on my own adventure to figure out how to take that idea and make it into an even better gift. I added washcloths, toys, pacifiers, socks, spoons, mittens, blankets, hooded towels - all Carter’s products for the highest in quality and softest for baby’s skin. The end result was a simple, yet stunning gift that the new parents can use every single part of!

I’ve taken "cakes" to over 10 showers and every time, received so many positive reactions and requests to make additional "cakes" for people, that I decided to finally open my own business – ABCakes, LLC. Now I can share this fun gift with people in the U.S.!
